Abstract
The popularity of Open Educational Resources (OER) is growing rapidly in higher education institutions. Academics and lecturers are making an effort to create more high quality OER for users, and researchers are publishing articles as OER for access beyond their institutional boundaries. The expectations and perceptions of the target user group of OER play a vital role in determining the present and future acceptability and usage of OERs. This paper examines the perceptions of students regarding OER. International Master level students’ knowledge, perceptions, experience of use and attitudes towards to Open Educational Resources (OER) have been investigated through an online survey. The participants of the research were selected from a group of students of the DILL (International Master in Digital Library Learning)programme because this is an international programme, with students from different geographical regions. Therefore the views collected can be representative of diverse perceptions in the target user group for OERs.
